1. Learn how to set your timer
2. Make sure you know were the main line runs and locate the round box with shut off system near your valves, in case of an emergency you won't have to turn off the main water supply to your house.
3. Check sprinklers to make sure there working properly and watering the lawn evenly.
4. We recommend you water your plants and grass two (2) times a day when the temperature is expected to reach 90 to 120. i.e. 5am/3pm.
5. During the winter months you can reduce watering to three (3) times per week for 10 minutes after 9am. Watering too early could lead to freezing.
6. Expect some moisture from 3 to 6 feet away from plants and trees, which will result in some weeds.
7. Weeds are treatable. Apply weed and feed seasonally for weed control on your lawn and rock area. Apply pre-emergence around the perimeter of
your landscape.
8. Evergreens will remain green all year. Perennials will bloom in the spring and dry up or sleep in the winter. Most flowers are seasonal.
9. Check your plants and trees roots often. Never leave them exposed to the severe desert weather. Keep them covered with bark, or dirt.
10. Waterfall filters and pumps must be cleaned bi weekly Treat algae
with pool
chemicals but use sparingly for fish ponds. Check with your local pool or pond provider for the specific type of chemical needed.
11. The hot desert weather will cause water to evaporate quickly. Fill your pond or waterfall as needed or install automatic filler which requires checking
once a week.
12. Apply food and fertilizer to your plants and lawn as required or your product indicates.
