We Design Landscapes to Live In.
Having a unique design Landscape is exciting, provided beauty and functionality to your home not to mention increasing considerably your property value.
Well, here are some tips to help you, maintain your landscape and keep it nice, clean, alive and beautiful.
- Learn how to set your timer (important).
- Make sure you know where the main line runs, where the main box is located and how to shut it off in case of emergency.
- Apply food and fertilizer to your plants and lawn as required or your product indicates.
- Check your sprinklers often to make sure they are watering the lawn evenly.
- We recommend you water your plants and grass three (3) times a day when the temperature is expected to reach 95* to 120* i.e. 5am. / 12pm. / 7pm. for 12 min. to 15 min.
- During the winter months you can reduce watering to tree (3) times per week for 10 minutes after 9am. (watering to early could lead to freezing).
- Expect some moisture in a perimeter of three (3) to six (6) feet away from plants and grass which will result in some weeds.
- Weeds are treatable. apply weed and feed seasonally for weed control on your lawn and rock area. apply pre-emergence out-side of the perimeter of your landscape.
- Plants: evergreen will remain green all year. perennial will bloom in the spring and dry up or sleep in the winter. Most flowers are seasonal.
- Check your plants and trees roots often. never leave them exposed to the severe desert weather. keep them covered with rock, bark or dirt.
- Waterfalls filters and pumps must be cleaned bi-weekly. treat algae with pool chemicals but use sparingly for fish pond. Check with your local pool or pond provider for the specific types of chemical needed.
- The hot desert whether will cause water to evaporate quickly. Fill your pond or waterfall as needed or install automatic filler.
